4 GIN…
Raf Taylor wanted to make a short for the inaugural Cheese Toast Film Festival, but how do you make a film without a video camera? You work what you have; an SLR, some friends and an idea.
The Idea was simple enough: writer/director Raf Taylor constructed a basic outline of plot events; me and 4 other photographers were to capture the events in sequential photos that would later be edited together.
It sounds simple until you realize there are over 4000 photos to be edited and sequenced.
The poster was designed after Raf and I finished editing the short. It is fueled as much by coffee and sleep depravation as it is by David Carson. Photos from the movie and type overlaid on top each other create the sensation of chaos. Unfortunately this poster was never printed and only used for web promotion. One day, when I find some free wall space in my house I think I’ll give it a chance to live in the physical world.
